The Actisense NGX-1 is a sophisticated gateway designed to convert NMEA 0183 data to NMEA 2000 and vice versa. This enables seamless communication between devices that utilize both standards, allowing vessel owners to upgrade their electronics incrementally. By integrating new NMEA 2000 devices while maintaining existing NMEA 0183 devices, users can minimize initial investment costs associated with modernization.

This ISO version of the NGX-1 connects effortlessly to NMEA 0183 devices using a dedicated pair of data wires for sending and receiving information, ensuring bi-directional data sharing when needed. The device features OPTOIsolation for safe input connections and utilizes groundbreaking ISO-Drive technology on the output to safeguard your devices against ground loops.

Furthermore, the NGX-1 requires no independent power supply as it draws power directly from the NMEA 2000 network, making installation simpler. It also facilitates the sending and receiving of NMEA 2000 data between a PC and the NMEA 2000 network, allowing software applications to enhance or complement existing hardware like Multifunction Displays (MFDs) or Chart Plotters.
