Balmar APM12 - 12V Alternator Protection Module
This Alternator Protection Module is designed to safeguard your alternator from voltage spikes that can occur from lithium battery shutdowns or intermittent connections. It clamping capability goes up to 60V, and it begins to protect against sustained over-voltage conditions starting around 20V. The APM can absorb surges exceeding 200 amps, ensuring continuous protection for your alternator.
The module features both visual and audible alarms to alert you if it has been compromised and requires replacement. Compactly designed, it can be easily mounted at the rear of the alternator, connecting between the B+ and B- terminals. This device is compatible with all alternator brands and meets stringent ISO standards for load dump and surge protection.
