Balmar APM24 Alternator Protection Module - 24V
The Balmar APM24 is an essential device designed to safeguard your alternator from damaging voltage spikes and over-voltage conditions. With the capability to clamp voltages up to 60V and handle internal over-voltage occurrences starting around 20V for the 12V variant, this module is engineered for durability. It efficiently absorbs multiple energy surges, managing over 200 amps without performance degradation, ensuring your alternator remains protected.
Integrating seamlessly into your setup, the APM24 features visual and audible alarms that alert you when service or replacement is required. Compact and easy to install at the rear of the alternator between the B+ and B- terminals, this module is compatible with all brands of alternators. Furthermore, it complies with ISO 16750-2 for Load Dump Protection and ISO 7637-2 for Surge Protection.
