This versatile Large Snubber Hook, known as the 'Captain Hook', is designed to enhance your anchoring experience. It allows for multiple applications:
- Relieve tension from your windlass while anchored by snubbing the chain overboard, securing the line to a cleat or samson post on deck.
- Ensure chain security on deck; hold the chain in your anchor roller and tie it off on a cleat for peace of mind while underway.
- To relieve tension on the windlass, attach the snubber to the chain in the anchor roller, pull back, and secure it safely.
Constructed from durable T-316 stainless steel, this version includes a professional eye splice for the attached 3-strand nylon line.
Note: Always keep the bitter end of the anchor chain secure in the windlass when using the chain snubber.
