SmartFind M10 Class B Transponder Overview
The McMurdo SmartFind M10 AIS Class B Transponder is designed as an ideal solution for smaller, non-SOLAS vessels, where the complexities of a Class A Transponder are unnecessary. It effectively transmits vessel position information and receives all AIS targets typically within a 20-mile radius. Equipped with a built-in GPS receiver, the SmartFind M10 determines the vessel's position, speed, and course, automatically transmitting this data without user intervention. This information, when received by other vessels and coast stations, contributes to a live graphical display of maritime traffic.
This product is engineered for seamless integration with various navigation systems, supporting both NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 output, and complies with IEC 62287 and similar standards.
The device features an SD card slot, allowing it to function as a data recorder that captures all messages for system and safety monitoring, including incident investigations. Recorded data is securely logged and stored.
The `Silent' mode provides users the ability to temporarily halt the transmission of identifiable information for privacy or security purposes.
Note: This product cannot be returned to the original point of purchase. For any issues or concerns, please contact the manufacturer directly.
