Engine Management Unit - NMEA2000 Gateway

The Actisense EMU-1 is a specialized gateway that converts data from analogue engine senders into NMEA 2000 format. This enables NMEA 2000 display devices to monitor engine performance aboard a vessel.

Equipped with a PC-based configuration tool, the EMU-1 allows users to customize settings to optimize compatibility with various engine makes and models. This flexibility ensures that the EMU-1 can measure and report a wide range of crucial engine parameters.

Designed to streamline the conversion of analogue metrics such as temperature, pressure, and RPM into NMEA 2000 signals, the EMU-1 reduces wiring complexity while enhancing operational efficiency. It also supports the conversion of transmission parameters and battery status.

The screw terminal connection system facilitates an easy, pluggable interface with engine wiring, and the unit can be configured for multiple engines via the EMU-1 tool. Currently, one EMU-1 is needed per engine, but future updates may introduce support for multiple engines on a single device.

The EMU-1's sealed case protects the electronics while providing quick access to electrical connections. The device is recommended to be paired with the Actisense NGT-1 NMEA 2000 PC Interface for firmware updates and configuration.
