Heavy Duty Inboard Starter with Gear Reduction

This inboard starter is designed to fit various popular marine engine brands, including Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, OMC, and Marine Power. It is compatible with all GM engines featuring a 14" flywheel with a staggered bolt pattern. This starter is recommended for the late model 3.0 Liter engine with a 14" flywheel, particularly when used with a tail bracket. It can also replace a 10MT style starter that has two long staggered bolt patterns. To replace a 10MT starter, the mounting bolt kit MBK450 is required.

To ensure optimal performance and longevity, ARCO recommends using a fully charged battery, as a weak battery could cause damage to the starter and solenoid. Additionally, it is essential to clean all connections, since corrosion can create resistance, reducing the amperage needed for an efficient starting circuit.
