Sika Sikaflex-715 is a premium quality, one-component sealant formulated for effective roof sealing applications. Curing upon exposure to atmospheric humidity, this sealant boasts excellent adhesion and UV resistance, making it ideal for open joints.

Usage Instructions:

This product is suitable for sealing various RV roofing components, including EPDM, metals such as anodized and bare aluminum, phosphate, chromate, and zinc-plated steel, alongside metal primers, two-part coatings, ceramics, and plastics. Prior consultation with the manufacturer and preliminary tests on original substrates are recommended before application, especially with materials susceptible to stress cracking. Intended for experienced professional users only, proper testing with actual substrates is essential.

Surface Preparation:

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of any grease, oil, or dust. For repairs, it is critical to remove existing products to prevent compatibility complications. Surface treatment varies based on substrate specifics and is essential for a reliable bond. Verify adhesion and compatibility through testing on original substrates.

Application Guidelines:

Sika Sikaflex-715 can be applied in temperatures ranging from 5°C to 40°C (41°F to 104°F), although adjustments to reactivity and application properties might be necessary. Optimal conditions for both the substrate and the sealant lie between 15°C and 25°C (59°F to 77°F). This sealant can be applied using manual, pneumatic, or electric-driven piston guns, as well as pump equipment.

Removal Instructions:

Uncured Sikaflex-715 can be removed from tools and surfaces using Sika Remover-208 or a suitable solvent. Once cured, removal requires mechanical means. Clean hands and exposed skin promptly with an appropriate industrial hand cleaner and water, avoiding solvents for skin contact.

Overpainting Information:

This sealant is not suitable for overpainting.
